Last year singer/songwriter Jessi Campo, during personally difficult times, was in search of faith, hope and a reason to continue to pursue her music career. What came to her was a revelation for a new project entitled The Renacer Collection which means to inspire rebirth and be reborn, leading to a renewal of the human spirit. During these hard and uncertain times, “Llegaste Tu” is the first release from the series. It is produced and co-written with Nomad.
Now, during the difficult time we are in, our true inspirations are the people that come to the rescue. For Jessi Campo it was her mentor Gilda Miro one of the first Latin female DJ trailblazers who gave encouragement and support, her brother who showed up at one of the most important meetings of her musical career, and her father, Giovanni, who was her biggest fan and strength and a famous Cuban entertainer in the 60’s. At the end of his days she sang boleros to him every night in the hospital, creating an understanding that she would carry on his legacy in the music industry.
We share her story behind this song but in reality the song has evolved into a much bigger purpose. Today the world is faced with uncertainty and needs to be inspired and know that each and every one of us have support. From mentors to teachers, parents to siblings, the love of your life and God.
